How do I install a bag filter?

Bag filters, also known as bag filters, bag filters, or fabric filters, are air pollution control devices and dust removers that remove particulates or gases released from the air during commercial processes. Power plants, steel mills, drugmakers, food manufacturers, chemical producers and other industrial companies often use cloth bag filters to control emissions of air pollutants. Bag filters became widely used in the late 1970s because high-temperature fabrics (used to filter media) can withstand temperatures in excess of 350°F (177°C). Unlike electrostatic precipitators, the performance of electrostatic precipitators can vary greatly depending on process and electrical conditions, but normally operating bag precipitators typically have particle collection efficiencies of 99% or more, even when the particle size is very small.

How do I install a bag filter?

1. Preparation stage. Please pay attention to the head of the shell, take it carefully and place it correctly.

Prepare all parts, bag filter shell, O-ring, stainless steel filter, filter bag, steel plate, pressure gauge. Ensure that the O-ring seal and the O-ring notch of the shell are free from deformation, scratch and damage.

2. Precautions for installation. Keep the working pressure of the shell within the allowable range.

A. Place the bag filter in a specific position, connect the inlet and outlet flanges, and fix. Plug the vent or close the exhaust valve.

B. Place the filter net gently on the shell of the bag filter to ensure that the basket net matches the inner flange of the shell.

C. Place the filter bag, align the O-ring of the filter bag with the filter screen, and place the steel plate to fix the position of the filter bag.

D. Align the head cover with the housing. For the clamp-type hinged filter housing, ensure that the V-clamp is fixed. For flanged filter housing, align the top cover plate with the housing and tighten the two diagonal bolt rings. Make sure the filter is sealed.

E. Close the exhaust valve mounted on the top of the bag filter housing.

F. Make sure all connections are firm. Whether the working pressure is within the allowable range.

G. Open the output valve. Open the heat source into the valve, slowly warm up to the shell specified temperature.

H. Open the feed valve bit by bit to allow the liquid to flow into and fill the bag filter slowly to prevent the liquid from hitting the filter bag and causing the bag filter to break.

3. Observe whether there is leakage. If there is no abnormality, start filtering.

4. Daily use and maintenance.

When the filter system is working, the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet should be checked frequently. When the pressure reaches 0.05-0.1mpa, the filter bag should be replaced in time to avoid damage to the filter bag and filter screen.

Properly open the filter housing head cover after liquid filtration. Warning: Do not open the cap under the pressure of the bag filter housing, otherwise the remaining liquid may eject, resulting in liquid outflow and personal injury.

Strictly observe the following operations:

A. Close the input valve. When the outlet pressure, close the output valve.

B. Ensure that the pipe connected to the exhaust valve is connected to a safe place or suction inlet (especially for filtering toxic and corrosive liquids), and then open the exhaust valve.

C. Check the pressure gauge to ensure that the internal pressure is zero. At this time, the bag filter is separated from the piping system.

D. If there is a drain valve, confirm that the drain is connected to the recovery point and open the drain valve. After the remaining liquid in the bag filter is discharged through the drain valve, close the drain valve. The discharge process can be completed in conjunction with increased pressure.

E. Unscrew the upper cover ring and lift the cover. Stainless steel cap of multi-bag filter should be moved at a certain Angle.

Replace filter bag:

A. The high efficiency filter bag is made of fine fibers. These materials are less hydrophilic and the surface of the fiber will not be wet by water. Before installation, immerse the filter bag in a filtrate-compatible prewetting solution for a few minutes.

B. Open the cover of the bag filter correctly.

C. Put the cap in the correct position and remove the filter bag carefully.
